How do I maintain my watch?
- Always wind a mechanical watch in a clockwise direction. Take it off your wrist to minimize pressure or any damage.
- Even though your watch is "shock proof", always protect it from hard bumps and shocks. Do not expose to extreme temperature changes. For example, do not place your watch straight from your wrist on a cold surface.
- Unless the degree of water-resistance was clearly specified when you bought your watch, don't risk wearing it into the shower or pool or on a moist wrist. When you notice moist or condensation in your watch, please contact us or another watchmaker immediately, even if the watch is still working. Moisture causes rust and corrosion and can ruin your watch. If the glass is broken or you see small cracks on your watch, also have it replaced immediately. Even a minor crack can let dust or moist in your watch and may damage the clockwork.
- Replace the battery of your watch instantly when it starts to run out. It is recommended to let your mechanical watch cleaned every two to three years and provide it with new oil, because the moving parts are lubricated with a special type of oil.
- Never try to repair or open your watch!
Only an expert watchmaker should be trusted to put your watch back into working condition if there is a problem. A watch contains many small parts and should therefore be repaired by an authorized repairer. If you have any maintenance questions, please contact our customerservice. They will be happy to answer all your questions.
